So why do we keep the “elite” name? We’re not an all-star team, and that word is associated very much with all-stars and very much NOT with rec teams. The true answer? Laziness. Changing it would take a lot of time, effort, and money. That, and “Eastside Dream Cheer” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. I took a poll of the girls a couple weeks ago and they like the name just the way it is, so for the moment, we’re keeping it. An homage to our history, I suppose. :-)
