Basketball Cheer Squad is the beginning level cheer squad for EDE and is open to ages 5-12. Cheerleaders learn approximately 20 cheers and one halftime dance routine during weekly fall practices. They cheer for the Bellevue Parks Department youth basketball league in the winter.  The new season will start with a parent & cheerleader meeting and uniform fitting in September 2022.

This team focuses on:

• Cheers and Chants

• Beginning dance

• Cheer skills (jumps, motions, etc.)

 

Additional uniform costs are required as well. The cost for 2019-2020 was $144 and included the uniform shell & skirt, spankies, pom poms, T-shirt, and hair bow.  We work hard to keep the uniform costs low and use the same style every year so once you’ve purchased the uniform, you don’t need to buy it again.

• Cheering for the Parks Department Youth Basketball League

• Halftime at a high school basketball game
