EASTSIDE DREAM ELITE

HISTORY

PREMIER REC CHEER PROGRAM

Eastside Dream Elite Cheer began as a recreational cheer class offered through the Bellevue Parks & Community Services in Spring 2000. The class was so popular that eventually the Basketball Cheer Squad was added that fall. Then known as Bellevue Dream Elite, an Advanced Squad formed in January 2002 and competed for a short time.

BDE performed at their first Seattle Storm game in July 2003 and are proud to be partners with the Seattle Storm ever since. July 2003 was also the time of the name change to Eastside Dream Elite, reflecting the growing draw of cheerleaders from outside Bellevue.

Now EDE is proud to be the premier recreational cheerleading program in the Seattle area, having won Recreation Cheer Program of the Year in both 2014 and 2015 (unprecedented back-to-back wins). Our competition team, Red Squad, has won nine back-to-back State Championships 2014-2023, also placing 2nd at USA Junior Nationals every time they have attended (2016, 2017, and 2019).

The many teams offer something for all skill levels and locations around the Eastside. Thank you for taking the time to check us out, and welcome to the EDE Family!

The Eastside Dream Elite cheerleading program is associated with Renton Parks, Kirkland Parks, and Issaquah Parks. Try-outs are not required for any EDE teams, and all teams are non-competitive except for Red Squad.  We work hard to keep costs low for EDE participants.  Scholarships for class fees are available from the respective organizations for residents who qualify.  Uniform fees are not covered by those scholarships, however we make every effort to help those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate.
